Sara is EVEN BETTER at timewasting than me. She has made Sims out of all my characters.

(She would do a Verity if I let her. But really it would be somewhat indecent to be able to download the Sim before I finish the book.)

I pass along this meessage from Sara to [livejournal.com profile] mhari: "Tell her to upload hers. Hers are better than mine because she made them herself, I think."

Ugh, my children did that to my characters once, and then they put one of them into a tiny room with no doors. They are evil.

That is SO SO awesome. Now I just need a Priamos so that he and Goewin can finally be happy together.

I tried that once, and got very frustrated that my Medraut and Turenesh characters wouldn't have a son with Medraut's hair.

I then made a family I was going to play through ten generations with all the daughters named variations of white/light. Also yours.

(I suppose I count as a home grown fan as well.)

Yes, I read "Chasing the Wind". You had an ARC of the first Firebirds around your house when I was visiting you, and I read it after I read The Sunbird.

As it is, having only read the first few chapters of The Oysterman's Opera and having been told more about how the story was going to progress, it is in my head like a novel I read once a long time ago. Which is kind of cool. I am reminded of it sometimes by random things, like tennis courts or rice pearls or watching my hands steam from washing dishes. I kind of like thinking of it as a half forgotten story.

Tell Sara that I am digging out my Sims disc, which I haven't done in ages. Goewin is lovely.

Goewin is super pretty!

Alas I only have Sims 1, but when I finally get around to finishing mine I will certainly put them up!

I ... may have bought Sims2 while I was out today. I am going to blame your daughter, if that's ok with you.

corruption for all!

that's okay, DF has pretty much died the death. it had a good run as internet rpgs go, BUT I can direct you to a place for further shenanigans, if you like. >_>

meanwhile, i have been meaning to bestir myself more -- I do appreciate the emails and so forth, an awful lot, I just have not had the spoons to reciprocate. ♥

my latest evil thing is Polyvore, which is a fashion site where you can make online collages. doing them for fictional people is ridiculously addictive.

here is someone you might remember.

Fortunately for you, with Sims 3 being out, Sims 2 is probably much cheaper now than it was when I bought it. The evil time suck, though, that it will always be.

Yeah, it only set me back about twenty bucks. (Of course, what I really WANT is Sims 3 -- I've test driven it, it's really keen -- but my computer isn't up to it even if I had sixty bucks to blow at a shot. Alas.)

I was saving an Amazon gift card for it for a while, but then I realized that even if I upgraded my RAM I still couldn't use it on my computer, so I got something else instead.

So amazing what you can do these days. One question, I don't remember Turunesh as being a servant, but the daughter of an Ethiopian aristocrat. Am I messing things up?

Hah! Well, she should at least do links to your books page, if she won't correct the information.

That's so cool! I never even thought of doing something like that for fictional characters. I bet that's fun to observe, especially if they do unexpected things haha. Story ideas!
