re: favorite jeans - are the 501s not around?? I thought they just did a challenge on Project Runway that involved designing a new outfit for the 501 collection. Of course, I cannot attest to the 501s not being skinny low waist jeans (the bane of my existance). Ps I keep typing 501k. lol.

see, I think if I had majored in something else... like geology or french or anything, really, other than english--then I would have a useful craft which to earn a living. As it is, I am extremely skillful at foreshadowing, but not at anything else. And yes, I reckon I would have still been a writer.

As to 501s, they may still be around, but I can't really wear them any more...

me, too! my achilles' heel is rather my achilles' hand - i go all swoony at the sight of elegant hands (edged with roughness). i am also partial to left-handed people, though i do not know why this is.

an absolutely awesome goal. (but you would need to be armed with a punt pole, too, you know!)

One of my great life achievements was circumnavigating Oxford in a punt--22 miles in 11 hours. (I was not alone and unfortunately we had no dog, although we HAVE gone punting with dogs on other occasions. Also with very tiny children.)
