I'm sorry.  I have a long collection of sensible and interesting things to post.  but all I can be bothered to post is this link which, incidentally, don't bother getting me for christmas since I bought one for Sara yesterday.  I am a total sucker for Captive Princes.

Actually I am very distracted.  I bought each of the kids a small Playmobil toy for Christmas and then unthinkingly unpacked them and laid them on the kitchen counter as Sara and Mark walked in the door from school.  Instantly they both asked, "What are these?"  Oh.  Oop, that was your christmas present, you might as well have it now.

Does that captive prince have a hambone in his hand? Somehow that doesn't seem like such a harsh imprisonment...

One Christmas we told relatives that Theo loved Playmobil and loved pirates...so he got two different huge pirate ships. Lots of naval battles ensued.

no, it's an empty ladle or pot or something. He comes with a lot of dishes but no actual food (unless you count the rats... he comes with two rats).

there is no label on the box (it's generic European, so non-specific). I picked it up thinking, what the heck? He's wearing a crown and a chain around his neck. A ROYAL HOSTAGE, I MUST have it.

I went ahead and got one from amazon.com. And was quite disappointed that the Crusader Knight and the Roman Legionnary were out of stock, as I think he'd quite have liked one of them as a rescuer. Maybe I'll poke around eBay and see if anyone has one up. XD
