it is true that my perception of ANYTHING is always colored a bit by what I'm writing at the moment, which puts "German" at a suddenly unfair disadvantage. Although the same could be said of "French."
It is also true that I am utterly incapable of designing a straightforward Baddie, and end up giving them children and ulterior motives and guilty consciences.
