re: the owls - *grin* you could write a story about that... kamikaze ornamental owls trying to get to Athens and by mistake jumping into the wrong parcel.
No, it's a sacrifice to the altar of my favourite authors (you got some and so did Sherwood Smith) from a collection I built as a teenager but no longer value as much.
I thought they would provide a smile or maybe you also have owl-ficionado people in your family (considering your love for ospreys, maybe the chance is better with the Gatlands than with sartorias).
Since they're a sacrifice, do with them as thou wilt. I still have loads that should go to future good homes.
