I never thought Lancelot was particularly interesting. Cookie-cutter heroes never are.
But Mordred ... No matter how he's written, he's one of those delicious villains you love just a little, or the fractured kind of hero you're drawn to in spite of his best efforts.
I'd much rather be Mordred too. He's infinitely more complex.
I'd rather you continued being Mordred - too.
Although, I'd sure love to see an E. Wein exploration of Lancelot's secrets and his darker side. Have you ever considered it?
