World Book Day
Mar. 6th, 2008 06:03 pm The kids were supposed to go to school dressed as characters from their favorite books. Sara's first choice was Jane Eyre, but then she fell back on the ol' Edward Elric option because he has better hair. (She doesn't like putting her hair up.) Mark, after MUCH persuasion, went as Horrid Henry, who I believe is a uniquely British phenomenon (he is not the same as Horrible Harry)--though the author, Francesca Simon, is American.
To show solidarity I started constructing a Mordred costume for myself, when it occurred to me that my own hair is not very Mordredy, so I went for the Harriet Vane option. Who knew that Good Hair was such a deciding factor in choosing one's Favorite Literary Character?
