Oooh, noted!
(Of course, one of my coworkers just sent an invitation to his birthday party that Friday evening. Decisions, decisions. Well, it's easier to get to Children's Book World, anyway. And it's my ex-neighbor's favorite bookstore.)

I don't know what your plans are around the edges this schedule, but you're always welcome at my house. We would be happy to feed you (but probably not cake) and we have a guest room.

No stop in Winnipeg? :(

And here is me, coming to Philadelphia just as you are going to Canada. ((sigh))

I kept hoping the Boston date was just accidentally left off the list. :) Perhaps I'll send my Toronto based family to the Word on the Street Festival and they can record your visit in detail for me. Happy and safe travels!

I have a copy on hold. I want that book so bad. I really want to read it. But I have to wait until tonight. Arrrr!

I wish you were coming somewhere near me (I'm in Michigan) -- I'd make up a road trip so fast!

I hope that Rose Under Fire is a big hit, even though I'm afraid I'm going to cry all the way through.

If it were a week later, I could maybe make it to the Los Angeles one. *sigh*

I have changed ruddy laptops and your email address has been eaten, but wanted to say David heard them review your book on NPR, and called from the highway, saying, "I heard them talking about Liz!"

Great was his joy for you. ☺

Happy touring. I hope there's cake everywhere.

I wish you were coming to Maine. I'll be cheering for ROSE, a marvelous book. I'm going to check out your other interviews now. Thanks for linking to mine.

Hi,

It was absolutely fabulous to meet you, if only briefly, at Children's Book World this afternoon. I hope I get the chance again in future. Your reflections on your research process gave me a lot to think about.

I finally remembered the early Edward Fox film I was thinking of as we drove away. I've seen it twice in the last six months and I can't understand why the title was temporarily unavailable to my mental database: The Day of the Jackal. He plays a ruthless assassin, but Fred Zinnemann does a fabulous job of making the process so intriguing you end up -- in some part of your soul that it's hard to admit to having -- wanting him to succeed. The movie has some other great performances including a bit turn by a very young Derek Jacobi.

Verity and Rose are fabulous and touching books. Kudos and I am so glad you made it to our neighborhood.

Best,
Anmiryam
