Modred's House

Location: Alyth - Dunbarre Castle
Type: Legend
Date / Time: Unknown
Further Comments: This castle is said to be the former base of Modred, the nephew of King Arthur. He was killed when the fort was overrun by Scots and Picts. Guinevere may have also been killed here, and is reportedly buried at nearby Meigle.

Guinevere is buried at Meigle--WHO KNEW! (and I thought I was making it up when I set up Agravain's court at Dunsinnan, ie Dunsinane, just the other side of Scone.)

I have done practice forced landings overhead Dunbarre Castle about a dozen times.

Might be a reason to wander around Scotland more in our upcoming trip. XD

aw, that glastonbury burial was just a big propaganda set-up by Henry II to stop the Welsh saying Arthur was going to return and beat the brains out of the English. (but I might not be remembering the correct henry...)
