You know there's research that says that farm kids and are exposed to animals and plants (read allergens) are far less likely to develop allergies than city kids. So sealing ourselves up in little airtight houses and disinfecting everything is at least a contributing factor to the increased rate of allergies. That and, like eegatland says, everyone wants a diagnosis.
