that is indeed a grass strip. I've only used it once or twice; it's NOTAM'd closed for most of the winter because it gets so waterlogged (maybe we could convert it to a seaplane strip!). There are plenty of grass strips around, though. When I first came to the UK my husband had a Robin 200 which he kept here. Three runways, all grass!
